Noah’s Ark Farm
situated in Ashley, New Milton, near to Lymington and the New Forest.
The Atyeo family have farmed poultry for many years. We, that is Colin, took over the family business in the late l950’s and Sue joined him in the late 1970’s. We were then located in Wick Village near Christchurch. In 1988 we moved to Noah’s Ark Farm and after attending University our two eldest sons, Paul and Mark, joined us in the business.
Free-range Farm
At Noah’s Ark we farm 35 acres and produce free-range eggs, chicken and lamb, with free-range bronze turkeys and geese at Christmas. We are proud to be holders of The New Forest Marque – the sign of quality, local produce.
As a family organisation we generally work together rather than having specific roles, although Paul takes primary responsibility for the turkeys and sheep, while Mark is accountable for the egg collection and grading, as well as helping with the seasonal lambing.
Hampshire Farmers Markets
We started at Hampshire Farmers Markets in 2000, as we decided to cut out the middleman and sell directly to the consumer, which we have found very rewarding as it enables us to receive feedback from our loyal clientele.
The markets have been and are very important to us; by being the retailer as well as the producer they enable us to increase our turnover whilst having the added bonus of seeing the people who buy our produce.
We attend the Hampshire Farmers Markets twice monthly at Winchester, the second and last Sunday in the month, as well as monthly visits to Romsey, Emsworth and Ringwood. We go to New Milton on the second Saturday of each month and in Dorset we go to Christchurch on the first Friday.
We do not have a shop at the farm but are happy to prepare any orders received either by phone or email for collection when required. Our produce can also be found at Beaulieu Farm Shop, Setley Ridge Farm Shop, Everton Post Office, The Farmers Butcher, Bramshaw and other local outlets.
